What to Expect
In this service, you will find we sing hymns, sing or speak liturgy, read Holy Scripture and hear a Biblically inspired sermon from our pastor. This service aims to strengthen, preserve, and nurture forgiveness, faithfulness, and encouragement that can only be found through worship of the one true God as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Through regular attendance you will develop a deeper understanding of the Christian faith that manifests inwardly and is conveyed in outward expressions of love, forgiveness, kindness and being more like Christ.
The Lord's Supper
On the first, third, and fifth Sunday of each month, we celebrate the Lord's Supper. Here, congregants and members of other LCMS and sister churches are invited to to receive the true body and blood of Christ found in the elements of bread and wine. We believe Jesus Christ shed His blood for the forgiveness of sin, died on the cross, is now risen, and has ascended and sits at the right hand of God the Father. We believe the purpose of this sacrament is to strengthen and preserve recipients to go in peace and serve the risen Lord.
Beginning in September 2023, we plan to observe the Lord's Supper each week. MusicIn the traditional service the hymns and liturgy are from the Lutheran Service Book. Other songs may also be used from other resources if they help support the message. The adult choir will also have a part in the service by supporting congregational hymn signing and singing choral anthem selections. Hymns are accompanied using our Walker Technical Organ or Yamaha electronic keyboard. For those who will like to sing we typically have choir rehearsal Saturday mornings at 10:30 AM.
